Lesley - Owner
Lesley attends the International Quilt Market each
year in the USA to keep abreast of the latest trends and ideas and has
travelled extensively throughout the USA studying other Quilt Shops, gauging
trends and formulating ideas.
Lesley specialises in Quilting, giving each Quilt
the design which the Quilt Top asks for. She is also an accomplished Cloth
Doll maker, prefering country and primitive dolls - all this is achieved
using a domestic sewing machine for finesse and accuracy.
Lesley conducts Finch's Nest Doll making classes
and also conducts Weekend Workshops for Quilting and Dollmaking in places as
far away Gascoyne Junction (approx. 600km distant).
Lesley does most of her work "behind the
scenes" but emerges when required to help out in the shop.
Janine
Janine has been working at Finch's Nest since 1998
and is the smiling face behind the counter for most of the day.
Janine is an award winning Quilter in her own
right and is a born and bred local girl, hailing from the historic town of
Northampton - famous for their "Airing of the Quilts" exhibition
each October.
Janine's knowledge of fabrics available in the
shop and her ability to create themes and scenarios is uncanny.
Janine Affectionately known
as "Neen", has been with us since July 2006,
is an all purpose sewer who specialises in Bears. Julie Julie is expert in appliqué and colour. Julie has been working with us since August 2003
